Hi
I've just set this board up so that we have an active site where members can communicate, chat or just post info, as we have lost our old domain name.
I don't really have much time to moderate/administer but I'm sure it will be fine. Even if only a handful of members use it, it is still well worth having a central point for the team.
Also, any suggestions for the forum would be appreciated. Take care everyone and stay safe. Peter

Yea its quite easy and quick to set up the basics on here. Forums aren't as popular as they used to be, but I've sent out messages to all of the Seti members, and the active Rosetta members so with any luck we might get one or two visiting, as long as their emails are still active. If not, that's ok too - at least its here if anyone needs it.
OH, and welcome

Damn! Must be losing my touch. I managed to run but couldn't hide.
It's good to be back and see some of the aliases from a previous life.
If there are any problems... blame Brickhead, he made me do it. ;-)

Happy to see everyone. I was off the DC track for almost a decade, but am back on. Happy to help lend some flops.
I see that things have changed and my foundation with SETI is now without work. I appreciate any thoughts or recs for where to send my computational GPU and CPUs power.
How is everyone doing? Glad to see a location for us to reconnect.

Hi Cramnoly, great to see that you've found the new forum. We're slowly building the numbers up on here. I think that with the current Covid situation, most people here are contributing to either Folding@Home, Rosetta@Home or World Community Grid - but any project is worthwhile.

I am missing SETI already - I tend to favour the space/medical projects but everyone has their own preference. I go through phases of concentrating on one or two projects. I have to say your doing an excellent job running universe@home and your making me looking bad in einstein lol
Been running boinc for a while now - was running folding@home for a while. in an ideal world I would like to do both. I would say just run any project that appeals.

Thanks and those all sound like good options. Ironically with all the telemedicine that I am doing I have many extra flops. As always the best decisions are based on how we can help each other. I feel that Team Picard has a solid group to push foward those endevours. Cramnoly
