The TV version of Isaac Asimov's Foundation series of books is finally here. I was a huge fan of the books years ago, and can only hope this TV series does the story justice. Watching the first two episodes tonight........

It's been many years since I read I A's and a very few others Sci-Fi books with the emphasis on science. Always a good read(s), which with the long nights and short days advancing, might be a good enough reason to re-read his and the others of quality Sci-Fi. It's taken the best part of 70 years for this to happen as it had appeared the impossible story to turn into a visual experience that could cover time over many century's. Looking forward to a time when it gets the wide roll-out it truly deserves. However, as things stand the series will only be available to those like Adam and Eve who bit the apple. Given the price of apples these days, I'll hold off for a while.

I must admit to really enjoying the first 2 episodes. Visually it is stunning, with some good acting - and the 2 hours or so, went by quickly. This is an adaption, so is no way a word for word copy of the books, which I think a lot of people were expecting, and has gained some criticism from the purists. This updated version though, has to be commercially viable and attract a wider audience for it to continue beyond the first season. With the source material being 70 years old, there had to be changes, and so far for me haven't weakened the story. I can only hope it continues at the same level.

Will look forward to see if it gets a general release of some sort so we can all enjoy it on screen. With day's to do getting few, here's hoping it gets released sooner rather than later.

One of the best-looking TV shows I've ever seen! I wonder how they'll continue stories that last millenia, but so far so good.

Stumbled across this snippet which might be of use to the Isaac Asimov sci-fi world fans. January 2023: Foundation season 2 trailer: When can I watch it? - - > youtu.be/IGWT-t7AS74The second season of Foundation is still filming, so we wouldn't expect to see any new footage or a trailer until a little later in 2023. Apparently there are plans for seasons 3 and 4 in the offing?
